MMMM!!!!

Can you tell I like painted furniture? I love the texture of things, things that look as if they have been lived with and loved and passed down or found in the attic to be reclaimed.
Layered with your finds, not like a decorator came in and matched everything.
Some people get it and some people don't.
I probably bother some people that things don't "match" and they are chipped or tarnished or peeling.
But, that is what makes me love them.
Looking at photos is like a drug to me. A calming drug. I hope I don't fall into coveting. It is a mood that comes over me, a sence of being "at home" and relaxed.
Photos inspire me to look at things differently.
Some pieces take on a new life when paired with other items.
We have a lot of projects we are working on around the house.
I can't wait to get finished enough to share photos with you.
I have a pine armoire that we moved to our bedroom in this house. It was in the family room with the tv but in this house there wasn't room since our kitchen is open to the family room. I am going to paint it since it does not match our bedroom furniture.
I am almost through with the media/game room. Waiting on husband to hang an old window and grate.
I painted my 1/2 bath turquoise and added a cabinet above the toilet. I am trying to find some prints for the wall.

My husband has laid tile in our bath- had CARPET in there before. He is rewiring for two light fixtures instead of one above the sinks. I am shopping today for two black mirrors, light fixtures and faucets. I have to take down wallpaper and paint, so it may be awile on this one.

We also still have to do the kitchen cabinet doors and kitchen table.

It is so fun to see it all coming together, although it is slow and a lot of work. God is so good and we are so happy with our home. I hope we will always use it for His glory, not to impress anyone, but to make it fun and comfortable for all who are here.
