My Pantry
This is extremely hard to take a photo of because of the angle, but today I organized my pantry. It is in the kitchen, but it is actually in the space under the landing of the stairs so it is only 5'3" high. In the back taking up all the room is the hot water tank. We had some pototoes on the floor that I forgot about. Do you know what happens to pototoes that are forgotten? Have you smelled pototoes that rot? They had a liquid mess under the bag that was just gross so I had to pull out all the stuff on the floor and really get it all clean. So, I went on to organize all the food into neat little rows. The shelves weren't really that bad. This is not where we keep all the food. I have a LOT of kitchen cabinets. I have one of the lower cabinets under the island that has all my can green beans, corn, and carrots. I have one cabinet next to the stove that has a container with sugar, flour, rice, elbow macaroni, spaghetti noodles, grits (Kiss my grits, Honey child!),cornmeal, etc. I have a lower cabinet with nothing but cereal. I use the shelf over the coat closet near the garage door for extra stuff - right now it has goldfish, cheeze its, all the free CVS Boost drinks and glucerna drinks, and other stuff. I was using it to hide things to keep the kids greedy hands off of them, but they found me out. I have 18 unopened boxes of cereal! I have 4 cereal keepers and 4 opened boxes of cereal. Would you like to come have breakfast at my house?- I have a full assortment for you to choose from. I have 10 cake mixes, 14 Hamburger/chicken helpers, about 10 bags of rice mixes and 10 noodle mixes, I have 8 jars of spaghetti sauce, tons of soup and chili. I also have 50 lbs of flour that I am keeping in our refrigerator in the garage. I bought it when rumors began about the price of flour rising. And it is going up.

I have five kids, too, although the oldest is married and has his own home. Still, our budget it tight and the house is small with 6 people in it. I'll have to keep up with your projects as I need to be doing the same things.
Great organization! It's nice to have a spot for extra stuff. If I didn't have one little closet for a pantry I don't think we'd even be able to live here as our kitchen is really small.
I've tagged you for the 6-word meme, if you haven't done it yet and you'd like to, you're welcome!
Brenda :)
It always makes me feel good after I do organization like this. Good job!

Have a great day! Blessings!!!
Great job getting organized. Looks like you have a great variety of stuffs to eat. I know what you mean about trying to hide stuff too! I love how you use all the different areas of your kitchen to group things. Great idea.
I love the size of your pantry!! You have inspired me to get my own pantry better organized. I bought extra flour too..though I froze mine.
Thanks for sharing your pictures.
You are really getting organized too. I am more motivated to organize than to get in shape. HEEHEE!
Hey - I tagged you for a new Budget Buster meme - if you want to play! List 5 things that bust your budget and then tag 3 bloggers to do the same.
I love peeking in peoples pantrys! Yours is so big and so organized. Of course it just dawns on me that you would have to hav big with that many in the family. LOL
Sometimes I come here just to look at that pic of you all in the header. I just love it.
Great idea!

Love it! I have a food room (and we only have 3 people living here) that I posted on my blog (http://ultrabeautyboutique.com/?p=382) I can't imagine having to organize for 7 every day.
Love that you are a frugal hacker too. Adding you to my google reader!!!
