If you are not in the mood for Christmas -TODAY IS NOT YOUR DAY! It is the day to visit all your blog friends and pretend to celebrate Christmas with them. So, grab some coffee or hot cocoa and some cookies and get comfy in your favorite spot. There are three blogs hosting a party today! Man, the creative gene has been spilled all over mantles and trees and you can get some good ideas to pretend you came up with all on your own.
Rhoda at
Southern Hospitality is the first home on our tour. She is so creative and always has the most beautiful touches throughout her home. Rhoda, I stole your photo since you didn't have a thingy because I didn't want everyone to miss you and all the links on your blog.
I love her mercury glass trees! And what great photos of her kids. Be sure to enter her give a way while you are there looking at all the links.
And then, head over to
BooMama- I love her colored trees. I really want some feather trees if you see some colored feathers lying around- or catch one to defeather for me.
My grandmother's dough bowl filled with greenery and a candle.
The half bath downstairs.
A shell plate in the half bath filled with shells and old ornaments.
The kid decorated tree. Filled with ornaments collected by the kids and made by the kids over the years.
I bought this at a craft sale in my husband's neighborhood back in the late 80's. I still love it. The home would open their home each year and have crafts for sale in each room. This has been handled by my kids and played with a lot and still looks great. It has turned out to be one of my most favorite things.
The kids advent calendar. They love to add a piece each night.
A favorite teapot given to me by a dear friend. I found the plate at the dollar store and it is a perfect match.
My new ornament for the year. I love that it looks like it is carved out of a piece of wood.
The kids stockings. They are really competitive about the one HUGE size that my oldest son has. They say something about it each year.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas. I still have a lot of decorating and crafting to do but hope you enjoyed the little decorating I have done. I will be adding more this week so check back.

Everything looks beautiful. I love the Nativity Scene esp. since it is one the kids could play with over the years. I looked for the longest time for something like this one and finally bought the Little People Scene..my kids love playing with it and telling the story...
Can't wait to I have a free minute to check the other blogs out. I didn't do as much decorating this year but I did get some ideas for my mantle at someones blog...that and the tree is about all I posted.
Hey! Of course I don't hate you, I don't mind that at all. Thanks for pointing people over my way. Mr. Linky is down today on al the blogs, so that really is a bummer! Hopefully, we'll get it back up soon. Merry Christmas to your family!
I especially love the way you tossed the Christmas balls into the shells. Such a fabulous way to instantly add "holiday".
Beautiful.
I can't believe that teapot and plate didn't come together. They looked like a set to me!
Your home is lovely but I think your beautiful children stole the show. What cuties!
Thanks so much for joining my house tour! -Julia :-)
That plate looks made for that cute teapot! Love your fireplace with all the kids stockings!
Manuela
