Easy Apple Turnovers

I know this is a simple recipe but I have never made it before.Store bought frozen pie crusts and a can of apple pie filling.
I unrolled the crusts. They were shaped into a circle. I cut each circle into four pieces. Then, spoon on a little of the pie filling.
Fold the crust over the filling and press the edges with a fork to seal. I then sprinkled on a cinnamon sugar mix. Poke the top with the fork to vent. Bake at 350 until done. ( I didn't time it just went to check every time the kids said they were done- about 50 times in all.)
This is going to be some ingredients that I keep on hand to make quick treats for unexpectant company or busy times. Wish we would have had some icecream to go with it, but my freezers are too full for icecream- until today- with the purchase of our new freezer! (See last post about my $15 freezer)

Has anyone ever cooked these then frozen them? I would like to know if they are good to freeze already baked for a quick snack. I want to make the breakfast kind where you drizzle the cinnamon roll icing on them. My mom used to buy the package of apple turnovers in the section by the can biscuits. Does anyone know what kind of crust that would be?

Hey there . . . I guess I could have re-thought the whole how to get your house cleaned and laundry done thing huh!?!?!

I am sitting this morning and tring to get my head cleared. The brain function is a bit difficult still and trying to keep sentences straight is a bit of a trial!

Never had surgery before - I had always had the "boy i am glad that has never happened to me" thoughts. I also had those secret fears of being "put under" or "to sleep" - prior to all of this past week. The prayers that were lifted up on my behalf were felt by my hubs and family . . . God watched over me and kept me calm. I never felt overwhelmed prior to the either of the surgeries or the anestetic. God is good and I am so thankful of His Ultimate and Loving care.

Yes, these freeze great!

And, you can also fill them like little pizzas, or ham and cheese. These freeze well, too.

After I had Burrito, a friend made a bunch of these (pizza style) and brought them to us frozen for quick meals when we needed them. They were wonderful!

Hello! I just found your site through Money Saving Mom and I love it! I will definitely be 'blog-stalking' here.

I have never made these little pies using crusts like you've shown, but I do have an EASY recipe. I fill flour tortillas with pie filling roll them up. I melt a little butter, sugar, and cinnamon and pour it over the pies. Then I bake them for about 10 minutes at 350. They are so simple and delicious and they freeze easily, too.

I am going to try it this weekend. I pick up a can of Carmel Apple Pie filling at Walmart. I plan on drizzling it with some carmel(not carmel topping because it doesn't set up)
