Garden update June 13

I am determined that I am going to grow something. My beds still look sad except for my squash and tomato plants. And, no, I still don't have fencing around them. This is my zucchini plant. It has flowered and I should have pods form very soon for lots of zucchini.
This is my tomato plants. I have a lot of tomatoes of good size and saw yesterday that there are many more small ones forming. I am so happy to see these, especially since no restaurant or store is selling tomatoes because of the salmanella scare. My pole beans are coming back after being rabbit food. I NEED MY FENCE AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Sorry, just a personal love note to my hubbie. I also need some support for them and the cucumbers. I put some more seed in the bare spaces yesterday to fill it out.
This is a yellow squash. I love to either bread them with cornmeal and fry them (bad for you, but sooo good) or slice lengthwise and brush with olive oil, salt, and pepper and grill them.
My tomato plants from another view. They have grown a foot since last week. I need to add to the cage so they can grow tall like me- 5'3".
This is my spaghetti squash. He has run his little fingers over to the tomato cage and wrapped around and around the cage and is holding on for dear life. He heard about those rabbits. I didn't know this plant has runners. I guess I need to get him a cage so he will leave the tomatoes alone. Have you ever had spaghetti squash? I like to eat it instead of noodles. It is really expensive in the stores.
I also reseeded carrots for the 3rd time. It says to sow them in 1/4 inch. I probably did 3/4 inch last time. This time, I just sprinkled all the seeds in the area and took my hand and brushed across the dirt, I might have covered them a little, but I don't know, I didn't bring a telescope to see the tiny seeds. I planted 3 seeds of canteloupe in the other bed. I have okra somewhere, but couldn't find it. I STILL NEED FENCING!

Fun pics of your garden. I love spaghetti squash.
When we move back to CO, I'll try my hand at gardening. We have such a short season here at 7000 ft.
Have a great weekend. And hope you get your fencing!
God bless,
Brenda :)

Thanks for your comments on my blog! Closet systems are no fun and always took us way longer to put in that they are suppose to! I feel for you! My husband used to have a lot of projects going at once. That was until I finally put my foot down. I know the hubby is supposed to be the head of the house and all . . . BUT I do believe that God put the wife here to be a help and in our home, hubby really needed someone to say - Honey, I really think it is a bad idea to begin yet another project when this, this, this and this has not been completed. Wouldn't it be great to get the other projects done first?!?! Besides, if you want my help on the this new project, you will finish the others first.
For the most part, this approach worked. Once in a while he will attempt the new project thing with an old project still lingering. Just a little wifely prompt and we are back on track!
Hugs and love to you!
