I got this set of dishes. I LOVE the bowls with the little handle on the sides.
A bunch of books for summer reading.
Some real new Sperrys that were at the thrift store. My daughter has been begging for some and they were on sale for $79 so I wouldn't buy them. She was so excited to find these. The leather has some scratches on them, but you could tell were from a store.
All these books were $.10 each. The Sew Beautiful is this year's Easter edition. I have about 50 when I used to have a subscription for years. I sold a lot on Ebay for $10 each, so this was a great bargain.

I really lucked up on a bunch of really cute pajama sets. They were all around $1-$2 per set.
$.50 for this plate I bought to use as a serving plate.
The wire basket and three ramikins were $.50 each. I don't even know what the canning jar cost. I paid $8 for the pressure cooker. I am scared to test it. I need to find someone who knows what it should all look like to check it out for me.

Great finds! You really made out! :)
Really terrific finds! I have those dishes too! Love them!

I'm really jealous of the Sperry's. I have wanted a pair for 2 or 3 years but can't bring myself to pay $70 for them.
Awesome treasures...luv all those books! HAPPY NTT!
Blessings,
Linda
Great find on the Sperry Topsiders. I had a pair and I wore them out.
I love that set of dishes you found! White dishes are always classic.
Hi Holly, love the white dishes. White is a good thing. I found a pair of Sperry's in a Good Will and they are still going strong. Love that thrifting.
Hugs, Jeanne
I know that extension office check pressure canners; they may be able to test your pressure cooker for you as well. You may be able to find instructions for it online.
That was a nice issue of Sew Beautiful.
Your thrift store is MUCH cheaper than mine. Our paperbacks are .50 and harcovers are at least $1.
You probably don't need the presure cooker tested...just take a look at the seal. It should fit snug and have no cracks. Otherwise it won't seal properly and will allow steam to escape while cooking. You can buy new seals at a hardware store. Did you get the "jiggler" with it? I couldn't tell in the pic. Just put water in the cooker, put on med. heat and see if you build steam. Run water over the whole thing before you open it! Good luck. I use mine all the time. Great for roasts and ham! Yum!!
