The Christmas Grouch

That's me! Here is my day:

  • Overwhelmed with Christmas decorations. I have edited one rubbermaid box of things I am getting rid of but have about 4 of items that either need to be used or stored or get rid of. I can't decide. I am trying to find things that I have that work for this new house and get rid of the rest so I can slowly purchase what I do want. Just want someone to come do it for me.
  • Kids acting like they are deaf and dumb.
  • I found out at 3:35 that I had to pick up another kid and get them to church by 4:15. I was still in pj's (with a boy here my son brought home from school) no make up, had not touched my hair. I quickly got in the shower and shaved. The cap was on the razor.
  • Sat in driveway waiting on child #5 to come. We waited 10 minutes and finally had to tell #3 to go inside and I would come back home and get them.
  • Let 15 year old drive to church. In rush hour. Stop does not mean look and go- right? Atleast I would have been put out of my misery if the other car would have made contact. But, no, they were a good driver and avoided the collision.
  • Fight with child #5 over wearing loafers to AWANA. He wore a buttondown and his loafers yesterday and everyone told him he looked so cute. Well, he was not wearing tennis shoes and an AWANA uniform tonight- he wanted to look cute. Look at the photo of the Christmas trees we made. That is what he thinks is a cute hairstyle right now. I know!
  • Husband asked for me to get food. Stop by McDonalds and wait. Lady asks for my order and when I started she rudely said, "Hold on." Then when I ordered 5 meals they read back three. Got to the window and she did not say one word to me. I asked for ketchup and never got any. Got to church and my chicken club with no mayo had no BLT on it. I went back and went inside and had a nice talk with the manager. He was really nice- wait, that is on the good side, I am only complaining so let's move on.
  • My dryer is not working. I forgot that earlier! I have washed 5 loads of laundry. I washed a quilt and then my son spilled a box of detergent on it and I had to wash it again. I have 3 drying racks in my family room and everything that can be hung up hanging in the laundry bar. Husband told me to get EVERYTHING out of there so he can pull the dryer out and look at it tonight after church.
  • My camera needs charging. I have put it on the charger twice and it still is not charged. So, can't take photos of my garland I made today. Or all the clothes all over the family room. Or my hairy legs. No evidence of the kids being yelled at. Or the things I told them to do that are still sitting there.
  • Now I need more stocking candy. Stress. These Bliss chocolates are really really good! I am almost better. Just don't touch me or ask me for anything. Turn off the TV and be very very quiet.

Oh you poor dear! Im really really sorry I laughed about the razer having the cap on it. When I laughed I had no idea how bad things were going to get as your day progressed. Really I didnt. So now you just go take care of yourself. Maybe a bubble bath will do the trick.
