Baby dress tree

Welcome to Trim A Tree Thursday! The Southern Hostess is linking to blogs that are trimming their trees for the holidays. Since I am not touching anything Christmas until after next Thursday I am posting a tree I did in our Florida home. I took the photos after it was up awhile and, yes, I notice the garland is sagging. Just pretend for me, okay?
I had four trees the Christmas of 2005 when I did this tree. I had one in the family room, dining room, our sunroom, and this one in my bedroom. It is hard to tell but the ornaments are a light sage green- which was the same color as the walls. Some are a pearl white. I bought them all at a garage sale. They are Marth Stewart ornaments and the garland is the same color. They did not match any of the other rooms so I decided to put up a tree in our bedroom so I could use them.
I put all the ornaments on, but it still looked bare. So, I pulled out my Feltman Brothers dresses from when I was a baby and all my baby shoes and accessories. If you look closely to the left of the dress you will see my gold bangle bracelet and my charm bracelet hanging on the branches. My cross necklace is hanging with the dress.
See all the shoes, crochet booties and little soft shoes? I also had a few other jewelry pieces scattered around. I used a hat as the topper that had the same color flowers. I used a crochet blanket my mom made for the skirt.

The round silk purse has pearl beading. It was my mom's. Stop back by for another visit!

Ohh, this tree is precious with all the baby things...and it is also very personal. It's nice that your baby things were saved...it's an heirloom tree.

How sweet! What a neat idea too~ About the craft shows... I just started at doing a few in my hometown. It then just kind of snowballed from there. You might want to check out your local chamber of commerce. You can also attend a few shows and ask about their future ones... they would love to give you the info Im sure. Good luck and many blessings~
