Around the beginning of each month I go through my coupons to weed out expiring coupons. I pull out the ones that will be expiring for that month and put them into a business size envelope. I then make a list of the items that are either a high value coupon or a coupon that when doubled would be a good deal. I also note items that are for basic products that we would need to buy anyway. This leaves a lot of coupons that I do not note on my list. They are things that I would only buy as a money maker or if almost free, not my normal products to buy. Then, I take this list and envelope shopping and from the list check prices at the stores when I shop. Since they are expiring I am trying to benefit from the coupon, but only if it is a good deal. At the end of the month all the coupons that you didn't use are already in an envelope to send to overseas military. Overseas military bases allow members to use expired coupons, so they love to get them.

schultz family- I didn't see a blog for you so I am replying here. I know that Publix and Kroger double coupons. In our area they double up to $.50. I know that they double up to $1.00 in some areas. I would ask at the service desk(or cashier) or call the stores where I shopped to see if they doubled coupons and ask to what value they double them. Don't forget that if the store has a booklet at the front of the store that has coupons for their store or they mail you a booklet of coupons for their store you can use the store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on an item. They are being paid by the manufacturer for the manufacturer coupon and are offering a store coupon as a market strategy to get you to buy from them.
Thanks for your help. I only shop at Publix, and I use coupons and they have never been doubled. Maybe I have to ask? I'll try it:) ....Yes, I do need to get a blog. I just need to take the time to set it up. I have four little ones...6,4,3, and 2 and I'm homeschooling, so things are hectic...as you well know with you're beautiful family! I think it would be fun to meet all these people from the wonderful blogs I read one day...I may have to wait until heaven, though. :) I'll let you know when I get a blog. Blessings!
