Kitchen tip Tuesday
Head on over to Tammy's blog and Diary of a stay at home mom so you can learn all the cool and cleaver ways everyone runs their kitchen. Leave some tips of your own, don't be shy.
Here is my tip for the week... When you bake or saute chicken, pork chops, ham, or steak you have money in the pan. Don't just wash it down the drain! Add about 1/4 cup of water and let it sit a minute. Then, take a spatula or spoon and scrape the bottom of the pan getting up all those bits and pieces of juice from the meat. This is a great base for soup or rice or even pasta dishes. This is what you are paying for when you buy gravy packets. You can pour this into a small storage container and refrigerate or freeze and add to your food later.

Great idea! I will definitely have to take advantage of this one. NO preservatives either! :D
Have a great day!

Great idea, I just made a crock pot roast and was wondering what I should do with the delicious dripping. I will freeze them for later.
That is such a great idea, I'll definitely remember this next time I fry something up :)
So glad you're joining in.
Isn't it amazing how food company's make a profit off of easy to use stuff. After all it really isn't that hard.
Now that's a good one!
