Don't Laugh At Me!!!

Hey, tomorrow is Monday. Does anyone know what time it is? Diet time! I said don't laugh. Yeah, I know, it is like the 400th time. But, I am working hard to get in the right frame of mind to really eat right and exercise. Anyone know Jillian or Bob's number? It also would help if someone would follow me around the block with a baseball bat so that I actually get out and go. I want to lose 70 lbs. It seems like such a big long road, but how do you do it? That is right- one bite at a time. One step at a time.

I am sick of looking in the mirror and seeing this.(Not my husband and daughter!) I want to look like this again. This is the kids and me at Disney four years ago. I was even 20 lbs overweight in this photo.
I don't know what has happened to me. I weighed 105 when we got married and 110 when I became pregnant. I slowly gained up to 129 lbs. I did the Weigh Down diet/ Bible study and lost 9 lbs, then became pregnant with the 3rd child. I weighed 125 6 weeks after she was born. I got pregnant again when she was 9 months old and I was still nursing. It has been a battle and a slow climb upward since then. I have gained 25 lbs since moving to Huntsville. We delivered papers for 6 years so I only got 5-6 hours of sleep during those years. When we moved, my husband took a second job at Dominoes. He brought home pizza, cheese sticks and cinnamon sticks every night. We were also under tremendous stress. I am going all the time and always end up putting exercise off till later.
I am weighing in with Mrs. Darling once a week. Send us any good recipes or tips.

I am in your boat - only I need to lose more like 90. I get so discouraged. About four months ago I had lost 16lbs, but gained about 7 back. I need to get going again - just don't have the umph or the support. I want to lose it and I think about it, but have started it! I do think I know what you mean! I weighed 128 when I was married 25 1/2 years ago and now - YIKES.

Thanks for coming by to see my new patio & for the great comments! I wish you the best in losing weight, I know it has to be hard. I've been exercising for SO long that it has kept my metabolism up there, so that's my secret. I really thing the more you exercise, the more it helps with that metabolic rate. Keep at it!

I just have to say that you look beautiful!!!

Ballparks, stress, and pregnancy will do it to you everytime.

Have you thought about making you kids hold you accountable? I did not think of this, but I did not have to they do it anyway. Any time something bad comes toward my lips, they say something. They are also really quick to tell the girl I workout with what I ate. Kids you gotta love them!! :)

I am blessedwith5's sister. I love to read her blog and have gotten hooked on many of her favs - yours being one of them! Hang in there - I have been where you are! On my 40th birthday I stepped on the scale and about had a heart attack when the scale shown I weighed almost 200lbs. I started weight watchers with my friend and we have both reached lifetime membership status - it took me a year to lose 45 lbs. If you have a buddy to be accountable with, it seems so much easier! Write down EVERYTHING you eat and count up the calories. At the end of the day you will be surprised at the amount of food you have eaten. If you can't fit in a 30 minute work out all at once, try breaking it down into 3 sessions of 10 minutes each. Don't get on the scale everyday - you will want to throw it through the window and that will get awfully expensive to keep replacing windows :} I'll be praying that you will be able to stay motivated!

Blessings,
Jeanette

I read you all the time but never comment! Just wanted to let you know that I understand where you are coming from. I need to lose about 50 lbs, I do good for a while but then life gets busy and I fall off track. My husband and I are constantly on the go with our two children (sports) and we both work full time so there never seems to be time to work exercise in. I can only image how busy you are with 5 children. I know this may not help but just wanted to say that you are beautiful and I envy all you do to your house and how organized you are when it comes to your grocery shopping. I wanted to let you know that I'm sending my best wishes and good luck!!
