I think we had lima beans every week growing up (similar to butter beans) as well as black eyed peas - I think of all the dried peas as a bean even though they're not. Can't you tell by my split PEA photo? And can you believe that I could not find any dried black eyed peas for New Year's? Unheard of in the South, but then again, this is CA.
